Hi everyone! Today I have the new collection from Alter Ego to show you. This is the Fan Favourites collection and as you might can guess, the colours and names were chosen by fans in the Alter Ego Facebook group!
She's a Brick House is a shimmery metallic berry. This is hands down my favourite from the collection. It is vampy and rich but not too dark and has a beautiful sparkle to it. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.
Spring Rain is a bright blue almost metallic which sparkles too. This one dries slightly dull and a little 'textured' like a glitter polish but smooths right out with topcoat. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.
Petal Perfect is a sheer purple loaded with blue/purple shimmer. I used 3 coats and topcoat. I could have gotten away with two probably. I also think this one would be fun layered over other colours. It kind of glows because the shimmer is so strong!
Summer Sunset is a pink jelly with golden shimmer and pink flecks. I used 3 coats and topcoat. This colour isn't the most flattering on my skin tone unfortunately but I do like the golden shimmer!
Morning Glory is a frosty lavender/pink. I have to admit that this isn't my favourite colour or finish but if you like frosts, this one is for you. There are some specks in this polish which seemed a little strange but they aren't too noticeable on the nail. You can see it a little on my ring finger. Brushstrokes are noticeable with this polish but perhaps you could avoid it by sponging on the last coat. I used 2 coats and topcoat.
Silver Lining is a metallic silver with black flecks that has a sort of speckled finish to it. This one is unique in my collection. I'm not a big fan of silver polishes but I like that this one has something different to it! I used 2 coats and topcoat.
The Fan Favourites collection is available now and each polish retails for $9.50. You can get 20% off your order with code The Mani Cafe.
