Darling Diva Cover It In Gravy

Hi everyone! Today I have a mani to share with you that I was really excited about because it includes a long time lemming of mine which I finally got my hands on recently!

Darling Diva Cover It In Gravy was half of the November 2015 Limited Edition Get In My Mouth Duo created by Darling Diva and Firecracker Lacquer for Thanksgiving. I didn't pick up the duo and I have regretted it ever since because I wanted Cover It In Gravy so much! I was thrilled when a lovely friend (Hi Pam!) was super sweet and offered me her bottle. So sweet and very much appreciated! I love this polish just as much as I thought I would and I now want to put it over so many polishes!

Darling Diva Cover It In Gravy

Cover It In Gravy is a shimmer and flakie packed colour shifting topper. The shift in it is stunning. For this mani I started out with a gradient of OPI Yank My Doodle from the Washington DC collection and Zoya Desirée, a brown creme. Desirée is one of my favourite ever polishes I think and I knew it would work well with the Darling Diva. I then used just one coat of Cover It In Gravy and topcoat.

I love how this mani turned out and I couldn't stop staring at my nails! What do you think of it? Don't be surprised if I end up posting this topper again soon. I'm obsessed. I'm sorry to be posting an LE that is no longer available but it was just too pretty not to. Do check out Darling Diva though because Carrie comes up with some seriously stunning polishes!

Colors by Llarowe - The Mighty Red Baron

Hi everyone! I have a simple swatch post for you today of one of my all time favourite red polishes! This is The Mighty Red Baron by Colors by Llarowe! I know, I know...you've probably seen this one a million times but it really is worth all the mentions.

Colors by Llarowe - The Mighty Red Baron

The Mighty Red Baron is a rich, red holo with a glowing velvety finish unlike any other polish I have to be honest. The formula is fantastic and I used 2 easy coats plus topcoat. The only negative about this polish is that I did experience staining with it despite using basecoat but that is because of the pigment in it. The listing on the CbL website does have a staining warning though I'm not sure it was there back in 2014 when I bought this when it came out. It doesn't matter though. I still love it and honestly I wear polish almost all the time anyway so it doesn't matter too much. But keep it in mind if you want to purchase this one.

I ended up wearing this polish alone and not even adding to it. I love a good simple red and with the finish on this one, it stands out enough on it's own! I'm afraid there was no sun to be seen when I wore this so you'll just have to believe me about how amazing it looks in sunlight!

Cirque Besos

Hi everyone! Recently I have been obsessed with everything metallic. You've probably seen my chrome powder posts already and the gorgeous Cirque Idyllic, the light blue metallic flake polish from the holiday collection. I've continued on that and have been pulling out pretty much all of my metallic flake polishes to wear again, including this one.

Cirque Besos

This is Cirque Besos which unfortunately was a limited edition release as part of the Speckled and Sparkled collection. The brand describes it as a 'deep magenta sterling foil holographic (made with superfine sterling silver pigment)'. I love magenta and rich colours like this in any texture but this one is just gorgeous. I loved how it made my hands looked and didn't even feel like doing nail art on it!

Cirque Besos

I used 2 coats of Besos plus topcoat as always. The formula was perfect. The only bad thing about this polish is that it was LE! Thankfully Cirque do have some other great polishes with this finish and sometimes rerelease popular shades (such as Halcyon and Hatch!).

OPI Pink-Purple Gradient with 6 Harts Moon Shadow

Hi everyone! This is another mani I wore a while back and never got around to posting. I'm trying to clear out and post my  forgotten in the unposted vault manis! I really loved this mani and I'm not sure how I didn't post it to be honest!

I used a sponge to create a quick gradient with 3 OPI polishes, all cremes. I used Kiss Me On My Tulips for the base, then that with Honk If You Love OPI and Miami Beet. I knew I was going to add to this so I didn't worry about it being too perfect. I actually topcoated this and wore it for a day as it was because I was in a hurry to leave the house but I later added a coat of 6 Harts Moon Shadow. This is a gorgeous shimmery topper that looks great over loads of colours. It is definitely one of my favourites from 6 Harts!

I took photos before and after adding Moon Shadow. I love how the topper changes the look of the gradient and I wore it for a good few days before finally removing it! What do you think? Which version do you prefer?

Black and Silver Chrome

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Sorry I haven't been around or posting much but the end of 2016 was pretty hectic!

Today I have a post for you featuring a mani I actually wore a while ago and didn't get around to posting. It's super simple but I loved wearing it.

A England Camelot & Girly Bits Mirror Chrome Effect Powder

I started out with 2 coats of A England Camelot, my absolute favourite black polish on all nails except my ring fingernail. The formula is perfection and its a one-coater. I use 2 coats out of habit! I then used Le Mini Macaron Licorice on my ring fingernail and topped it with Girly Bits Mirror Chrome Effect Powder and Le Mini Macaron 3X Shine Topcoat.

I added 2 crystals to my middle fingernail and finished the black nails with a coat of regular topcoat. This was a super basic mani but I liked the silver and black combo with the crystals which tied it together.

What do you think of it? Have you tried any chrome powder?
