A England - To Emily Brontë Collection (Swatches & Review)

Hi everyone! Today I have swatches of the gorgeous new A England collection to show you! To Emily Brontë is a collection inspired the the author and her novel Wuthering Heights. I was sooooo excited to try these, as with all A England collections. As usual, I was not disappointed by Adina's inspiration, creativity and formulas.

So let's get started with these pretties!

Let Me In
'dark red berry holo full of depth and passion - the haunting cry of Cathy as a ghost by the house where she lived her youth'
My absolute favourite of the collection. I'm in love with the colour and the velvety holo. This is a very 'me' colour and I know I will wear it a lot. I used 2 coats and topcoat. Excellent formula and application. This one goes on like butter and almost a one-coater.

Spirit of the Moors
'bright blu holo revealing at times tiny surprising green lights - the moors is the vast scenery, where all the characters move and the story unfolds, which envelopes and reveals the essence and soul of them'
Another favourite for me. I love a good blue polish and find this one very flattering for my skin tone. The holo is sparkly and unique in my collection. I used 2 coats and topcoat. Again, excellent formula and application.

Wuthering Heights
'soft medium grey holo wrapping multiple reflections - the setting of the novel: a dark, windy, stormy place'
I knew I was going to like this one when I saw the first pictures of it, but it is even better in person! A gorgeous purple-toned grey with a hint of holo. I used 2 coats and topcoat. Perfect formula and application.

Cathy
'ghostly, eerie white grey holo with an illusory flash of blue - the unhappy tormented female protagonist fluctuating as a ghost after her tragic and premature death'
One of the shades I was most excited about. The blue shimmer is stunning though hard to capture in photos. I can see myself wearing this a lot, alone and as a base for nail art probably too. Formula and application were good. Slight dragging on the first coat but the second coat evened everything out perfectly. Slightly longer drying time than the others but to be expected with a light coloured shimmer polish.

Heathcliff
'a subtle glitter on a black base - the male protagonist tenebrous and full of hidden sparkle and tumultuous feelings'
A jelly black base with silver, red and blue microglitter. I used 2 coats with no undies. You could also apply this over black for a deeper black finish. I used a coat of gel effect topcoat for a smooth finish.

As usual, Adina has come up with a stunning collection. I love the variety and the finishes. As I expected, Let Me In is my favourite along with Cathy. I'm a sucker for a good berry or shimmer!

Chanel Coquelicot (Summer 2015 Méditerranée Collection)

Hi everyone! I have a simple but yummy swatch post for you today. I love a good red polish and Chanel Coquelicot (#717) is definitely a good one!

Chanel - Coquelicot #717 (Summer 2015 Méditerranée Collection)

This lovely orange-toned red from Chanel's Summer 2015 Méditerranée collection was just what I fancied wearing on my nails. Sometimes simple is best. I got this beauty for Mother's Day and absolutely love it. The formula was really good and application was easy. I used 2 coats for perfect opacity and finished with a coat of topcoat.

Chanel - Coquelicot #717 (Summer 2015 Méditerranée Collection)

I was going to decorate this but ended up wearing it without nail art because I didn't have much time and because a good red is so pretty on it's own. Coquelicot is well named and definitely reminds me of poppies.

What do you think of this one? Did you pick up anything from this collection?

Paint Box Polish Blue Above the Bay - Water Spray

Hi everyone! Today I have a mani for you that I have been meaning to do for a while. You might remember the gorgeous Blue Above the Bay by Paint Box Polish from my swatch post here. This was my favourite from the North Shore collection and I have worn it a few times since!

Paint Box Polish - Blue Above the Bay - Spray Marble

This time I added nail art in the form of a spray marble to create a design like the surface of a swimming pool or the spray on sea water after waves.

Paint Box Polish - Blue Above the Bay - Spray Marble

I started out with 2 coats of Blue Above the Bay. Like I mentioned in my swatch post, the formula on this is fantastic. I then used white polish (Sinful Colors Snow Me White) to make the spray design. I dropped a drop of polish into a cup of water like for a watermarble and sprayed it with hairspray when it spread out. This also works with hand sanitiser spray but I never seem to have any. I dipped my finger into the polish and cleaned off the excess, again, like watermarbling. I then added a coat of topcoat and some pearls and crystals.

I really like how this mani turned out and loved wearing another summery mani. The white flakes in Blue Above the Bay are beautiful and I think they go so well with the white spray marble. I might start wearing more autumnal shades soon but not quite yet! I'm not ready for summer to end!

Pipe Dream Polish - A Night In Vegas Cremes (ANIVC) Watermarble

Hi everyone! Today I have a super fun and insanely bright mani for you!

Ever since I got the stunning A Night In Vegas Cremes collection from Pipe Dream Polish I have been dying to watermarble with them. I'm sure you've all probably seen some awesome marbles with them already! They work beautifully!

Pipe Dream Polish - A Night In Vegas Cremes (ANIVC) Watermarble

The collection is made up of 7 gorgeous neon shades which make a glorious rainbow together. They are very pigmented with fantastic formulas. They are seriously the best neon polishes I've ever tried. I know for sure at least a few of them stamp (see my stamped flamingo mani with On The List here) but I haven't stamped with all of them yet.

So to create this mani I started out with a white base. I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White which I love. I then used all 7 colours in the ANIVC collection to marble (and posted an 'in progress' pic on IG here). I went for a simple 'flower/petal' design this time. I finished off my mani with a coat of topcoat.

I absolutely LOVE how this turned out, though I prefer the design on my right hand to my left. Typical lol.

I'm wore this mani a long time (for me anyway) and it wore amazingly well with only minimal tip wear. I am obsessed with these polishes. I already want to marble with them again!
