Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Happy Hour Collection (Textured Thermals)

Press Sample/Review

Hi everyone! Today I have a wonderful upcoming collection from Superficially Colorful Lacquer to show you! This is the Happy Hour collection composed of 4 textured thermal polishes inspired by cocktails! Jin makes THE BEST thermals, they're so reactive and change so easily!

Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Happy Hour Collection

I have swatched each shade without topcoat and then with so that you can see them both ways. Personally I like them shiny too but prefer the original textured matte finish. I use Revlon quick dry topcoat which is not a thick topcoat so you might find you get a smoother finish with a thicker topcoat such as Seche Vite or similar.

I used 2 coats of each colour.

I have included Jin's description of each shade as well as her recipe for the cocktail which inspired each polish! I know I'll be trying out the recipes for sure! So fun!

This one is my favourite from the collection! I just love the rich teal-blue when cold and it makes a lovely gradient.

I love this one, like all of Jin's pink/purple toned polishes. This is just a colour family she does really well. The cool purple is gorgeous!

Ingredients:
1 oz Irish Cream
1 oz Coffee Liqueur (Kahlua)
Sugar to taste
Hot coffee
Light cream

How to:
Add Kahlua and Irish cream to a coffee glass and stir.

(I'm sorry I either didn't take a picture of Steamy Affair warm with topcoat or I lost the pictures...bad blogger...apologies.)

This is a really original polish in my collection! I think it's a huge change from other thermal polish colours we have seen before. It is super sparkly too!

Grand Tequila Sunrise
Changes from red to orange, inspired by this beautiful cocktail

Ingredients:
1-1 ½ oz Grand Marnier
¾ oz Tequila - Silver
4 oz Orange Juice
2 tsp Grenadine

This one just suits it's name perfectly in my opinion. The red to orange colour change feels very tropical!

The formula and application on all of these were really good, as I have come to expect from Superficially Colorful Lacquers. They definitely did not disappoint. I find that the colours are a perfect representation of the cocktails they are inspired by.

The Happy Hour collection will be released April 26, 12am EST / 5pm UTC on the Superficially Colorful site with worldwide shipping!
