Lumina Lacquer Moon Child - Twin Post With My Nail Polish Obsession

Hi everyone! Today I have something a little different for you! I'm doing a post together with my friend Jen from My Nail Polish Obsession

We are both doing manis today with Lumina Lacquer Moon Child, a sort of fraternal twin post, as we did different bases etc. This was my first Lumina purchase and it was totally Jen's fault (totally...). This is her favourite Lumina Lacquer and she knew I would love it (and others!) and she wasn't wrong.

Moon Child is an amazing clear-based glitter polish packed full of pink, white and purple glitters in all different shapes and sizes. There are hex glitters, stars, moons, flowers and butterflies in there! I love the mix and the girly colours, especially the different shades of pink. Application and formula were good. I used the dabbing method to place some of the larger glitters and ensure the different shapes were dispersed over my nails.

I decided to layer Moon Child over Illamasqua Jo'mina, a bright lilac creme to keep my mani girly and show off all the glitters in the Lumina Lacquer. The formula and application were great and I would recommend this colour. I used 2 coats and it is very self-leveling. I totally love it (even if it does tend to give me lobster hands a little...).

For my ring finger accent nail, I did a quick 'design' with scotch tape and 2 of the Julie G textured gumdrop polishes. The light pink is Crushed Candy from the first Frosted Gumdrop collection and the darker one is Ho Ho Ho from the Holiday 2013 Frosted Gumdrop collection. I've said it before but these are really among my favourites when it comes to textured polishes. You can see more of them in my posts here, here and here.
