Zesty Orange with Kiko 280 & NfuOh44

Hi everyone! First of all I'd like to apologise for the lack of new posts in the past two weeks. However I had a good reason! I got married last weekend! You'll be happy to know however that I am back to blogging and have some lovely manis lined up for you!

Today I have a very summery mani to show you which is perfect for the sunny weather we (in France) have finally been having!

Zesty Oranges - Kiko 280 & NfuOh 44

I started with a base of Kiko 280, a bright orange cream. Like all Kikos I have I have nothing to report in terms of formula and application. This is a perfect creme which is opaque in 2 coats. I don't have many oranges but I feel like this is a great basic to have.

Zesty Oranges - Kiko 280 & NfuOh 44

Over my base I used NfuOh 44, an orange flakie polish to paint circles. I then used acrylic paint and a fine detail brush (mine is a Roubloff natural hair size 00) to turn these circles into orange slices. I finished the look with a coat of topcoat.

I really enjoyed wearing this summery mani. What do you think? Do you like orange polish?

OPI Solitaire

Hi everyone! Today I have a gorgeous polish from OPI to show you. This is Solitaire from the Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection.

OPI Solitaire

Solitaire is a soft white shade packed with small silver glitters. The formula is gorgeous, easy to apply and opaque in 2 coats.

OPI Solitaire

I knew I wanted this colour right from when the first promotional pictures came out and I was definitely not disappointed. It is a unique way to wear white and the texture and silver glitter really make a change from a flat white creme...

OPI Solitaire

The finish is slightly frosty and reminds me of snow. I love this shade for summer but I also think it will look great in winter manicures and nail art too! I will be trying it out come winter!

OPI Solitaire

What do you think of Solitaire? Are you a fan of OPI's Liquid Sands or textured polishes in general? I certainly will be trying more Liquid Sands!

OPI polishes are available from various retailers.

Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded - Carrie & Mr Big

Hi everyone! Today I have the last set of Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded to show you.

This lovely pair is Carrie and Mr Big. Carrie is a vibrant pink creme and Mr Big is the coordinating clear-based microglitter topper!

Formula and application on this pair were just like the other Twins Reloaded (see my posts here and here). I used 2 coats of Carrie which was buttery and self-leveling and one simple coat of Mr Big with no need to dab the glitter. I finished my mani, like always, with a coat of topcoat.

Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded - Romeo & Julia

Hello everyone! Today I have the second set of Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded polishes to show you. If you missed the first set, Edward & Bella, you can check out my post here.

Romeo and Julia are the purple duo. Romeo is a dark grape creme and Julia is the coordinating purple and holographic glitter topper.

Like with the first set I tried, I have nothing to say about the formula and application on these apart from that they are wonderful. Romeo was opaque in two coats and I applied Julia with no need to dab the glitter for even distribution.

Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded - Edward & Bella

Hi! Today I have a glitter mani to show you using some Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded polishes. Each set of twin polishes has a creme base colour and a glitter topper in a clear base which are designed to be worn together, like the original twins collection from Essence, now discontinued and htf. I don't own the originals but I'm happy to own these ones!

Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded - Edward & Bella

The first of the pairs that I have to show you is Edward and Bella. Edward is the base colour, a gorgeous periwinkle blue creme and Bella is the glitter topper to match.

Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded - Edward & Bella

The formula on both polishes was perfect. Edward was opaque and perfect in two easy coats and I only used one coat of Bella with no need to dab the glitter to get it even at all. I used one coat of top coat and my mani was completely smooth!

The only slightly negative thing about these polishes for me is the size...I wish they were bigger because they are so gorgeous!

Zoya Kendal and Elevation Polish Daisen

Hi everyone! Today's mani is a really girly glittery one!

I wanted to wear something soft and sparkly so I chose Zoya Kendal from the brand's recent Earth Day sale as my base colour. Kendal is a pale purple grey which is very dusty and feminine. I love this sort of colour on my nails. I applied two perfectly easy coats of Zoya, formula and application were a dream.

Zoya Kendal & Elevation Polish Daisen

Over Kendal I added a coat of Elevation Polish Daisen. In my opinion, Elevation Polish is one of the most original indie brands around and the quality and colours are exceptional. Daisen was on my wishlist for a while and is the first polish I have worn with circle glitters...I am now hooked. I LOVE the circles! Daisen is described by Elevation Polish as having 'a Pink super sheer base, Light pink and dark pink circle glitter in two sizes, copper circle glitter and multi-colored micro glitter'. The mix of shades is perfect and the micro glitter is an extra special touch and provides so much depth.

I topped my mani with a coat of topcoat. I was sad when I had to take it off! What do you think of it?

piCture pOlish Kryptonite and a Koala!

Hi everyone! Today I have a really wonderful polish to show you, piCture pOlish Kryptonite.

piCture pOlish Kryptonite with koala nail art

Kryptonite, a dark green jelly packed with scattered holographic particles, is one of the brand's blogger collaboration shades from 2012. This polish is just wow! The holographic effect is very eye-catching, both in the shade and in sunlight! Application was perfect, nothing at all to report. I used two easy coats and topcoat.

Feeling inspired by the rich shade of green, I chose to add nail art to my mani in the form of leaves and an accent nail with a cute koala bear! I painted the designs using a fine brush and acrylic paint. I realised afterwards...yes really only afterwards...that this was quite appropriate nail art as piCture pOlish is an Australian brand.

I really enjoyed wearing this mani! What do you think of it?

Alter Ego Beach Comber Too!

Hi there, today I have a summery mani to show you!

As my base I used Alter Ego Beach Comber Too! which is a blue jelly-textured, scattered holographic polish. I used 3 coats and still had some visible nail line due to the jelly formula but as I knew I would be decorating this I didnt use a base colour underneath it. You could just apply a similarly coloured polish a base if you prefer. Formula and application were nice, nothing to report there!

Alter Ego Beach Comber Too! In sunlight

I was inspired by the name to do some beach-themed nail art. I painted starfish using a detail brush and then added dots with a small dotting tool. This nail art is quick and easy to do!
