A Favourite Place - Quimper Flag

Hi everyone! Today I have a manicure inspired by one of my absolute favourite places in the world!

This is the flag of Quimper, a town located in Brittany, France. This is where I spent my year abroad during my university degree and fell in love with France (even more!) and met my now husband. Needless to say, my time there is pretty much the reason I now live in France.

It is a beautiful town and the people are just lovely. I felt so at home there, and still do when I visit!

I took the main components of the flag to turn it into a manicure as you can see. I started with a base of A England Order Of The Garter on my middle and ring fingers and Essie Blanc on the rest. I used 2 coats of each for opacity.

I then used acrylic paints and a fine detail brush to create the designs! I loved how this manicure turned out and enjoyed wearing it! I think I might be inspired by flags again in the future!

What do you think of this manicure? Have you ever done nail art inspired by a flag?

A-England polishes can be purchased from the A-England website for those of you in the UK and various other retailers (see the complete list here).
