A-England Tess d'Urbervilles

Hi everyone! Today I have a swatch post for you from one of my favourite brands, A-England. I have had this polish since it came out but wore it again recently and had to share it on its own in a simple swatch because its so beautiful. At least I think so...

A-England Tess d'Urbervilles is from the Gothic Beauties collection, a black based gothic inspired collection in which each polish has a gorgeous shimmer.

Tess d'Urbervilles is the green of the collection. The polish is definitely black based and very dark but with a stunning emerald green shimmer. This shade is described on the A-England site as 'like the secretive black of a deep forest, sublimely displaying its provocative emerald secrets' and its a stunner.

Unlike some of the other Gothic Beauties, I felt like the shimmer and green colour was visible most of the time on my nails. Even in shade, I could tell it was there and there. In the sun the shimmer is just crazy sparkly.

I love the depth of this colour (the same goes for the rest of the collection) and I think its a unique way to wear a darker colour. If you want to try dark colours but don't just want to wear a black polish, this is a great way to do that too.

The application and formula, like all of Adina's polishes in my experience, was perfect. I had a flawless mani in 2 easy coats. Drying time is quick too.

Thanks Adina for another gem of a polish!

A-England polishes can be purchased from the A-England website for those of you in the UK and various other retailers (see the complete list here).
