piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2013

Celebrating the Year of the Blogger

Hi everyone! Today I have a really special post for you as you can tell from the title...

I'm really excited and honoured to be a part of the piCture pOlish Blog Fest! piCture pOlish has decided to make this year 'the Year of the Blogger' and celebrate nail art and manicures created by bloggers, which I think is a great sentiment.

Today, bloggers across the world will have some nail art for you each using 3 piCture pOlish shades! And for the Blog Awards...each nail art creation shown today including my own will go into the running to be chosen to create a collaboration shade with piCture pOlish launched in 2014. There will be 3 awards (as voted by PP friends and fans, Blog Fest participants and Jules and Megs of piCture pOlish) and voting will take place via a special Pinterest board made by piCture pOlish.

piCture pOlish Sunset, Mad Magenta & Wisteria

The polishes which were selected for me to create my nail art are Sunset, Wisteria and Mad Magenta and they're all gorgeous! I loved the colours and application on all three of these shades. The formulas were perfect, as I have found with all of my piCture pOlishes. They are perfect for nail art because of their formula and opacity.

I decided to use these three shades to create a bright and summery floral manicure. I applied Sunset as my base then added flowers and dots using Wisteria and Mad Magenta. Sunset is actually so neon that it made my camera flip out a bit! It's so perfect for summer, as are Mad Magenta and Wisteria!

If you would like to recreate this nail art, here is how I did it step-by-step. All you will need is your 3 shades of polish and a dotting tool (as well as your base and topcoat). I used a white base to make my neon mani really pop but that is entirely optional.

I hope you like this manicure as much as I enjoyed creating it and wearing it! If so, I'd love if you'd consider voting for it!
