M.A.C. Bad Fairy

Hi everyone! Today I have a classic polish from 2010 to show you. I'll apologise right away because it was LE and HTF. This is M.A.C. Bad Fairy from the Venomous Villains collection. I searched for this one for a while and ended up getting it a few years ago thanks to my wonderful friend Jen at My Nail Polish Obsession

M.A.C. Bad Fairy

Bad Fairy is a metallic glass-fleck polish with a magenta base which shifts to red, burgundy and golden shades. I absolutely love this polish and it was well worth hunting for it. I ended up wearing it alone because it just didn't need anything else! The formula was good as well and I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

M.A.C. Bad Fairy

What do you think of this one? Do you have it?

As previously mentioned, Bad Fairy is no longer available but M.A.C. do come out with something stunning every once in a while in terms of polish. I may not buy their polishes regularly, but when I do, I'm not disappointed!

A England Russian Soul Stamping

Hi everyone! Today I have a simple stamped mani for you using two polishes from the A England Russian Soul collection!

I swatched this collection when it came out and absolutely loved it and I've been enjoying using some of the colours for nail art as well. If you missed my swatches, you can check out my post here

A England - Natasha's Dance War & Peace stamped with Kalinka

The formula of A England polishes is generally perfect and I've yet to try to stamp with one and it not work. For this mani I started out with 2 coats of Natasha's Dance War & Peace, a rich black holographic with a hint of blue to it. I then stamped using a swirl image from the MoYou Sailor 06 plate and A England Kalinka.

As you can see, Kalinka stamps really well. I will definitely be using this for more stamping in the future. I'm guilty of getting stuck in a stamping rut of silver and gold but this is a nice alternative! As always, I finished off my mani with topcoat.

Colors by Llarowe - March to a Different Beat (Match 2016 POTM)

Hi everyone! First of all, sorry it has been a bit quiet around here recently. I've been out enjoying the summer weather and gorgeous sun we have had here. It's not too common and we can't take it for granted so I've been making the most of it! I have been doing my nails still though so I have lots of posts to prepare for you!

Today I'm sharing some simple swatches of the Llarowe March 2016 Polish of the Month. I'll apologise already because this is no longer available. The POTM polishes are available on the 1st of each month for only one day but you may be able to pick one up second-hand.

Colors by Llarowe - March to a Different Beat (March 2016 POTM)

March to a Different Beat is a chameleon polish. I'm not even sure I know what colour it is myself so it is pretty hard to tell you. It is for sure a lovely linear holographic with sparks and what looks like flakes. I'm tempted to say it is dark purple/prune but it is super shifty so it looks different in different lighting.

The formula was on the thicker side but nothing unmanageable. I used 2 coats and topcoat. This wore really well on me and I ended up just leaving it without nail art because it didn't even need anything else.

Ellagee Burnished Skies, Negative Space & Stamping

Hi everyone! Today I have a simple mani with my very first Ellagee polish to show you! This stunner is called Burnished Skies and is a custom for the Ellagee Facebook group called Gee I Love Ellagee! I saw a preview of this polish posted in another indie group and hurried to go join the fan group so I could purchase it! I have never rushed so much to buy a polish from a new to me brand before!

Burnished Skies is a gorgeous turquoise crelly absolutely packed with bronze, copper and gold flakies! The overall effect is reminiscent of a precious stone and it fits with the inspiration picture Laura used to create it perfectly!!

Ellagee - Burnished Skies - Negative Space & Stamping with Essie Good as Gold

I used 2 coats of Burnished Skies and left a space at the cuticle on two nails ready for some stamping. I then used Essie Good as Gold and the Moyou Holy Shapes 01 plate to stamp the triangles over the negative space. I finished off as always with a coat of topcoat. I actually meant to matte this but loved it shiny so next time I will wear it matte. I'm sure it looks great as well with the flakies!

Unfortunately Burnished Skies is no longer available, unless you find it in a destash or something, but Laura group customs often and there is one happening again soon!

Pipe Dream Polish - ANIVC Neon Dotticure

Hi everyone! Today I have a super bright summer mani to share with you! This design happened when I wanted to do a neon and nude mani and couldn't quite decide what! Dotticure for the win!

Pipe Dream Polish - ANIVC dotticure over Unwind

I started out with 2 coats of Pipe Dream Polish Unwind, a nude/beige creme. The formula is perfection. I then used all of the A Night in Vegas Cremes collection for the dots, starting out with the bigger dots and filling in the spaces left with smaller ones! Super simple. As always I finished with a coat of topcoat.

Pipe Dream Polish - ANIVC dotticure over Unwind

I love how bright and fun this is and really enjoyed wearing it! I love neon and nude together so much, don't you?

Girly Bits A Kiss on the Chic & Ho-Ho-Hope - Stamping Decal Accents

Hi everyone! Today I have a quick and simple mani to show you that I wore a while back and forgot to post at the time. I had just received A Kiss on the Chic from Girly Bits. This was an event exclusive created by Pam for the Uber Chic Beauty lauch party.

Girly Bits - A Kiss on the Chic (Event exclusive) & Ho-Ho-Hope Stamping Decal Accent

So for my mani, I used 2 coats of A Kiss on The Chic on all nails except my ring fingernails.
A Kiss on the Chic is a gorgeous champagne nude with a beautiful pink shimmer. I love Pam's complex shimmolo finishes!  I had a hard time capturing it and unfortunately the sun did not come out for me either. Always the way! For my accent nail, I applied 2 coats of Ho-Ho-Hope and then used my UberChic Uber Mat to create some decals using a flower design from the MoYou Pro XL 06 plate and Konad black stamping polish. I stamped over Alter Ego She Shines topcoat, then coloured in the design using Pipe Dream Polish Peace Out (purple) and Keep Calm (green), both from the Mellowed Out Cremes collection. I then finished with a coat of She Shines and applied the decal to my accent nails.

Girly Bits - A Kiss on the Chic (Event exclusive) & Ho-Ho-Hope Stamping Decal Accent

I don't often do decals but this was a fun quick nail art and I quite enjoyed wearing it. I'm just not generally a decal person as I feel like I could freehand a design much faster but I love watching other people do these. I guess I just need some practice! What do you think of decals?

Girly Bits Custom - Sophie la Girafe

Hi everyone! Today I have a special polish to share with you. A little while back I had this custom polish made by Girly Bits Cosmetics in honour of my baby's first birthday!

You might have seen that I had a custom polish made for when she was born. I have a bottle for me and a bottle for her. This custom is the same and I'm slowly but surely starting a special collection for her!

Girly Bits - Sophie la Girafe (custom)

Here in France, Sophie la Girafe is a must-have baby item. I really like the character and line of products. Everything is so cute yet simple. I decided to make a Sophie la Girafe birthday cake for my little girl for her first birthday so it seemed fitting for this custom to be Sophie-inspired too! Pam created this gorgeous soft yellow crelly with brown, copper and pink glitters in it, inspired by Sophie's 'spots' and pink cheeks! I wanted the polish to be quite delicate and 'babyish' like Sophie and I really love how it turned out! I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

What do you think of it? Do you have any special custom polishes?
