Cirque Halcyon & Simple Freehand Flowers

Hi everyone! Today I have a mani with one of my favourite polishes in my collection. This beauty is Cirque Colors Halcyon, a gorgeous rose-gold/copper metallic flake polish. It is so SHINY!

I started out with 2 coats of Halycon. As much as I love this polish on it's own, I fancied some nail art and...shock horror...actually had time to do some! So I pulled out my white acrylic paint and detail brush and painted some quick flowers at the base of my nails. I added some dots with a dotting tool and then finished the centres of the flowers with Girly Bits Another Brick in the Fall, which accents Halycon perfectly. I finished with topcoat as always!

What do you think? I always go back to this design and love doing different variations of it. It always looks so pretty and it never gets old for me.

Alter Ego Moonlit Waves - Black Hearted Beauties Group Custom March 2019

Press Sample/Review

Hi everyone! Today I have another group exclusive from Alter Ego to show you! Moonlit Waves is the Black Hearted Beauties group custom for March. This is the inspiration pic!

This is a black base full of blue/turquoise and purple shimmers/mica/microglitter. I used two coats, no topcoat. This one does dry slightly less than smooth so you'll probably want to use topcoat for a smooth finish. And just because well topcoating is best anyway ha! The shimmer in this makes me think of galaxy nails! Great if you want that look without any effort or it would be a great base for some galaxy inspired nail art!

Moonlit Waves will be available from March 1st to 7th only in 2 sizes and for Cynthia's regular prices 8.5ml for $5.00 and 17ml for $10.00. Don't forget to join the Black Hearted Beauties group to be able to purchase!

Alter Ego Mother of Pearl - Lacquered in White Group Custom March 2019

Press Sample/Review

Hi everyone! Today I have another group exclusive from Alter Ego to show you! Mother of Pearl is the Lacquered in White group custom for March.

This is a delicate shimmery white polish that you could either wear alone or layered over other colours as a topper. I swatched it alone in 2 coats, no topcoat. I really like this one. The formula was nice and it has a pretty sparkle to it and flashes of colours (which don't really show in the photos so you'll have to believe me unfortunately).

Mother of Pearl will be available from March 1st to 7th only in 2 sizes and for Cynthia's regular prices 8.5ml for $5.00 and 17ml for $10.00. Don't forget to join the Lacquered in White group to be able to purchase!

Alter Ego In A Godda Da Diva - Polish Pickup and Little Green Apple Melt - Indie Pickup March 2019 (Album Covers)

Press Sample/Review

Hi everyone! I have the Alter Ego March PPU and IPU offerings to show you today!

The Polish Pick Up and Indie Pick Up theme for March is 'Album Covers'.

The polish for PPU, In A Godda Da Diva is a silvery grey which pulls a bit mauve with coppery and greenish shimmer. Cynthia was inspired by this album cover (I'm sharing Cynthia's photos of her actual copies of the albums).

I used 2 coats, no topcoat. The formula was good, nothing in particular to report. I like the shiftiness of this one. It is quite complex in colour and unique in my collection.

Cynthia's IPU offering is the Little Green Apple wax melt inspired by a song from this album.

As you can guess, this is an apple scented soy wax melt. It melts well with a nice fresh, fruity green apple scent. The plastic packaging is really practical and I like how you can break up the product into small squares. This may be standard practice but I don't buy a lot of wax melts and usually tartlets when I do...They fit perfectly into a mini silicone mould if you like to use those in your melter like me. This wax has a good throw, the scent is definitely noticeable throughout the room when you melt it without being overpowering. I like how this is a straight up apple scent. It makes a change from the apple cinnamon and things.

In A Godda Da Diva and the Little Green Apple wax melt will be available from March 1st to March  4th. The polish will retail for $8.50. The wax melt will be $5. There is no cap on either product.
